[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이귀선기자] 임태희 경기도교육감은 2024학년도 대학수학능력시험이 치러지는 16일 시험장을 찾아 수험생을 응원했다. 이어 종합상황실을 방문해 수능 진행 현황을 살피고 만전을 기해줄 것을 당부했다.

임 교육감은 이날 오전 경기도 의정부 북부청사에 마련한 종합상황실을 방문해 도내 수능 응시와 관련한 종합 현황과 시험장별 특이사항을 보고 받고 직원들을 격려했다.

올해 경기도에서 진행하는 수능시험에는 총 19개 시험지구 338개 시험장에서 14만 6,122명이 응시한다.

임 교육감은 “시험 운영과 진행으로 중압감이 많으실텐데 새벽부터 나와서 수고해주시는 모든 종사요원과 근무자 여러분께 감사를 드린다”고 말했다.

이어 “수험생의 입장에서는 오늘이 가장 중요한 날이므로 여러분께서 많이 살펴 주시고 도와주실 것을 부탁드린다”고 당부했다.

이에 앞서 임 교육감은 수능시험이 치러지는 도내 한 학교를 깜짝 방문해 수험생들에게 응원과 격려의 말을 건넸다.

임 교육감은 SNS를 통해서도 “우리 학생들 정말 고생 많았습니다. 시험이 끝나면 좋은 결과와 함께 그동안 하고 싶었던 것들 마음껏 하면서 편안한 시간 보내시길 바랍니다”라고 말했다.
