[브레이크뉴스경기남부=오산 이귀선기자] 오산시 외삼미동에 위치한 스미스 평화관이 한국전쟁 정전 70주년 기념해 특별 기획한 사진작가 라미 현(한국명 현효제)의 작품 ‘Project Soldier: 유엔군 참전용사를 찾아서’를 오는 12월까지 연장하여 전시한다.

이번 전시는 이름도 위치도 들어 본 적이 없는 나라의 자유와 평화를 지키기 위해 한국전쟁에 참전했던 세계 각국의 유엔군 참전용사들에 대한 존경과 감사의 마음을 표현하고 그들의 희생과 헌신을 기억하자는 의미에서 기획됐다.

스미스 평화관 ‘Project Soldier’특별 기획 전시에서는 세계 각국의  한국전쟁 유엔군 참전용사를 찾아가 사연이 담긴 그들의 모습을 담아   사진액자를 전달하며‘액자값은 이미 70여년 전에 지불하셨습니다’로  함축된 감동적인 메시지와 울림을 느낄 수 있는 라미 현 사진작가의 작품을 만나볼 수 있다.  

라미 현 사진작가는 세계 각국의 한국전쟁 유엔군 참전용사들을 찾아가 기록으로 기억될 수 있도록 촬영한 사진을 액자로 전달하며 감사의 인사를 전하는 감동적인 이야기로 유퀴즈 온더 블록(tvN, 2021.1.13.방송)에   출연해 화제를 모은 바 있다.

스미스 평화관은 한국전쟁 당시인 1950년 7월 5일 유엔군 지상군과 북한군이 첫 전투를 벌인 역사를 간직한 죽미령(오산시 외삼미동 640번지 일대)에 위치하고 있다.
