[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이귀선기자] 김동연 경기도지사가 22일 지역 최일선에서 경기도를 위해 헌신하고 있는 이·통장들을 만나 격려하고, 경기도와의 협력을 강조했다.

경기도에 따르면 22일 경기도청 대강당에서 이장과 통장 350여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘이심전심 통(通)하는 이·통장 아카데미’를 열었다. 이·통장 역량 강화를 위해 대규모 아카데미 형식의 행사를 연 것은 이번이 처음이다.

김동연 지사는 이 자리에서 “아무리 좋은 뜻과 좋은 의도로 정책을 만들어도 실제로 도민들이 그 내용을 모르거나 참여할 수 있는 방법을 모르면 그 정책은 없는 것과 똑같다”라며 “그런 면에서 여기 계신 이장님, 통장님들은 공무원보다 훨씬 중요한 분들이고 제가 펴려고 하는 도정의 성패가 여러분들에게 달려있다고 해도 과언이 아닐 정도”라고 말했다.

그러면서 “도정에 대해 더 많은 관심을 가져주시고 도와 시군과 주민을 연결하는 적극적인 역할을 해주십사 당부드린다”라고 덧붙였다.

이번 ‘이심전심 통(通)하는 이·통장 아카데미’에서는 민선8기 처음으로 김동연 지사와 도 이·통장들이 모인 만큼 다양한 소통이 이뤄졌다. 이·통장들은 평소 경기도정에 대해 궁금했던 사항에 대해 질문했다.

행사에서는 경기도민을 위해 봉사하는 이·통장 29명에게 도지사 표창을 수여했으며 성은미 경기복지재단 연구위원이 긴급복지 역량 강화교육을 진행했다.

한편 경기도에는 이장 4,133명, 통장 1만 2,937명 등 총 1만 7,070명의 이·통장이 활동하고 있다.
