[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 김정은기자] 경기도가 올 연말까지 도내 공공건축물 130여 개 전체의 에너지 사용실태를 조사해 건축물 분야 온실가스 감축안을 마련한다.

경기도에 따르면 27일 한국건설기술연구원과 이런 내용을 담은 ‘건축물 온실가스 배출량 감축과 녹색건축물 확대를 위한 업무협약’을 체결했다고 전했다.

업무협약은 ‘2050 탄소중립 사회로 전환’을 목표로 한국건설기술연구원과 상호 행정·기술협력을 통해 다양한 사업모델을 발굴하고 추진하는 내용이다.

협약 체결로 양 기관은 ▲2050 탄소중립 달성을 위한 사업모델 발굴 ▲공공건축물의 성능개선 방안 마련 ▲제로에너지건축물의 경제성 분석 ▲지역 역량 강화를 위한 전문교육 지원 등에 상호 협력하기로 했다.

특히 공공부터 제로에너지화 선도를 위해 도가 소유하고 있는 공공건축물인 경기도청 신청사 등 130여 개를 대상으로 에너지 사용실태를 조사·분석한다. 전기·가스 사용량 등을 분석하고 전문가 자문을 거쳐 건축물의 성능개선을 위한 최적 안을 도출하는 내용이다.

이 밖에도 건설기술연구원의 제로에너지건축물 지원센터와 함께 제로에너지건축물의 에너지 항목 공사비를 분석하면서 등급별 추정공사비를 제시해 기획 단계부터 적정 사업비가 산정될 수 있도록 지원하고, 시·군 공무원과 지역 건축사 등을 대상으로 전문교육의 정례화 및 체험 프로그램의 다각화를 추진할 계획이다.

녹색건축물은 에너지 이용 효율과 신·재생에너지의 사용 비율이 높고 온실가스 배출을 최소화하는 건축물을 말하며, 제로에너지건축물은 건축물 자체의 에너지자립률에 따라 등급화한 녹색건축물을 의미한다.

환경부 온실가스종합정보시스템에 따르면 국내 건축물의 온실가스 배출량은 2018년 기준으로 5천200만톤CO2eq(이산화탄소 환산톤)으로 총배출량의 7.2% 수준이며, 에너지(37%), 산업(36%), 수송(14%) 다음으로 높은 수준이다. 도내 건축물의 온실가스 배출량은 1천만톤CO2eq으로 전국 배출량의 12%다.

한국건설기술연구원 제로에너지건축물 지원센터장은 “연구원은 국내 신축 건축물의 제로에너지 구현을 위한 기술 지원을 지속적으로 추진하고 있다”라며 “경기도 내 공공건축물의 탄소중립을 달성할 수 있는 여러 가지 실증방안을 도출할 수 있도록 관계기관과 협업하겠다”라고 말했다.
