안산시, ‘제22회 식품안전의 날’ 맞아 식품 안전 캠페인 펼쳐

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=안산 이귀선기자] 안산시(시장 이민근)는 ‘제22회 식품안전의 날’을 맞아 식품 안전 캠페인을 실시했다.

안산시에 따르면 지난 17일 4호선 중앙역, 상록수역 일대 2개소에서 열린 이번 캠페인은 다중이 이용하는 역사 주변의 이용객을 대상으로 식중독 예방 등 식품 안전의 중요성을 알리고 관심을 높이기 위해 마련됐다.

안산시 위생정책과, 상록구·단원구 환경위생과 및 소비자식품위생감시원 등 20여 명이 참여한 이번 캠페인에선 ▲식품안전관리의 중요성 ▲식중독 예방 홍보 물품 배부 ▲식중독 예방 주요 수칙 (손 씻기, 익혀 먹기, 보관기준 준수 등) 등 집중 홍보를 실시한 뒤 시민들의 식품 안전에 대한 관심을 유도했다.

이미경 위생정책과장은 “식품의 안전은 시민의 건강과 직결되는 문제로 하절기 에는 기온이 높아짐에 따라 식중독 등 식품 안전사고에 대해 각별한 주의가 요구된다”라며 “올바른 식품안전 정보제공과 관련 사고에 대한 경각심 고취 등 식품 안전 실천 분위기 조성에 적극 힘쓸 것”이라고 말했다.

한편 ‘식품안전의 날’은 식품안전사고 예방과 국민보건 향상을 목적으로 식품 안전의 중요성을 알리고자 식품의약품안전처에서 지난 2002년부터 매년 5월 14일로 제정해 기념하고 있다.
