[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이귀선기자] 삼성전자가 자회사형 장애인 표준사업장 '희망별숲'을 개소했다.  

30일 삼성전자는 보도자료를 통해 '희망별숲'은 삼성전자가 100% 출자하여 설립한 장애인 표준사업장으로 지난해 11월 한국장애인고용공단과 자회사 설립 업무 협약을 체결하고 12월에 법인을 설립했다고 취지를 밝혔다.

삼성전자는 한국장애인고용공단과 협업하여 장애인 채용부터 맞춤 훈련까지 진행했으며, 발달장애인 고용 전문기업인 '베어베터'로부터 노하우를 전수받는 등 개소를 위한 준비에 만전을 기했다.

희망별숲은 '별숲'에서 장애인들이 자립의 기반을 만들어가며 '희망'을 가꾸어 나가길 바라는 의미를 담았다. 제과 제조 사업부터 시작하며 생산된 제과 제품은 삼성전자 국내 사업장 임직원들에게 제공된다.

이날 '희망별숲' 기흥사업장에서 진행된 개소식에는 고용노동부 권기섭 차관, 한국장애인고용공단 조향현 이사장, 더불어민주당 김민기 국회의원을 비롯해 용인시 이상일 시장, 화성시 임종철 부시장 그리고 삼성전자 최시영 사장 등 50여명이 참석했다.

개소식에 참석한 고용노동부 권기섭 차관은 "삼성전자의 '희망별숲' 출범은, 앞으로 삼성 타 계열사 및 다른 대기업들의 자회사형 장애인 표준사업장 설립을 더욱 확산시킬 것으로 기대하며, 세계가 주목하는 장애인 일터로 번창하기를 바란다."면서"올해는, 많은 기업들이 장애인 표준사업장 설립을 통해 장애인 일자리를 창출할 수 있도록 불필요한 규제를 발굴·개선하고, 장애인 근로자의 안정적 고용유지와 직업능력개발, 중증장애인 맞춤형 지원 강화 및 관련 인프라 확충 계획 등을 담은 '제6차 장애인고용촉진 및 직업재활 기본계획'을 발표하겠다"고 밝혔다.

한국장애인고용공단 조향현 이사장은 "오늘 용인의 희망별숲을 시작으로 전국의 장애인과 장애인고용을 망설이는 사업주에게 희망의 별숲이 될 수 있도록 공단이 적극 지원하겠다."라고 밝혔다.

삼성전자 최시영 사장은 "앞으로 더 많은 사람들이 희망별숲에서 자신의 잠재력을 발휘하고 꿈을 이루길 기대한다" 며 "희망별숲 임직원의 자기개발과 쾌적한 근무환경에 대한 지원을 아끼지 않겠다"고 강조했다.

□ 중증장애인 자립의 기반이 되는 일자리

이번에 희망별숲에 입사한 김영재 님은 "나만의 기술을 익힐 수 있어서 내 미래가 더 밝아진 느낌이다."라며 "희망별숲 동료들은 내가 일을 온전히 익히고 마무리 할 때까지 기다려주고 적극적으로 도와주니 함께 일하는 것이 행복하다"고 소감을 전했다.

특히 희망별숲을 통해 사회에 첫발을 내디딘 조현민 님은 "학교에서 친구들과 협동하는 법을 배운 것이 희망별숲에서 일하는 데 도움이 된다"며 "현재 바리스타 자격증이 있는데 희망별숲에서 제과기능사 자격증에 도전하고 싶다"고 말했고,음지훈 님도 "고등학교에서 제과제빵 훈련 받은 적이 있어서 희망별숲에서 하는 일이 친근하다"며 "월급 타면 저축해서 부모님과 같이 살 집을 마련하고 싶다"고 입사 포부를 전했다.

훈련생들의 희망별숲 취업을 지원한 평택북부장애인장애인복지관 이학연 팀장은 "발달장애인의 경우 장애인에 대한 이해도가 높은 표준사업장을 중심으로 취업을 지원하는데 마땅한 곳을 찾지 못해 안타까웠다"며 "앞으로도 우리 훈련생들과 잘 준비해서 더 많은 분들이 희망별숲에서 사회 구성원으로서 자부심을 갖고 일할 기회가 생기길 바란다" 고 기대감을 표현했다.

삼성전자는 앞으로 중증장애인에게 양질의 일자리를 확대하기 위해 희망별숲의 사업영역을 넓힐 예정이다. 현재 62명의 근무 인력은 연말까지 150명으로 확대할 계획으로, 중증장애인을 대상으로 한 양질의 일자리는 더욱 늘어날 전망이다.
