[브레이크뉴스경기남부=김포 이귀선기자] 김포시(시장 김병수)는  ‘김포마루’의 시민명예기자 및 관계자 등 15명을 대상으로 ‘역량강화 워크숍’을 개최했다.

30일 김포시에 따르면 지난 28일 강화도 일대에서 진행된 이번 워크숍은 ▲이주연 강사의 ‘취재 시 유용한 사진 촬영기법 교육’을 비롯해 ▲시민기자 간 화합을 위한 목공지도사 수작우드 정현아 강사의 ‘도마샌딩’ 체험 ▲역사탐방과 벤치마킹을 겸한 강화 교동의 ‘모노레일’ 탑승 및 ‘화개산 전망대 스카이워크’ 체험 ▲교동시장 전통시장 방문 등 다채로운 프로그램으로 구성됐다고 밝혔다.

‘김포마루 시민명예기자’는 시정소식은 물론 지역 내 문화·관광명소와 시 지원사업 및 교육정보 등을 50만 시민에게 전달한다. 또 지역의 다양한 인물을 만나 인터뷰하고 중요 행사에 참여한 후 시민 눈높이에 맞춰 보도하는, 이른바 시민과 시민을 잇는 ‘메신저 역할’을 담당한다.

시 관계자는 “50만 시민과 통하는 김포를 위해 김포마루 시민명예기자 여러분의 역할은 매우 중요하다”라며 “김포시민에게 많은 정보를 전달해 주시는 중요한 일을 하시는 만큼 이 일에 대한 자부심과 긍지를 가져 달라”고 당부했다.

이어 “문화체육관광부에서 최근 바르고 쉬운 공공언어 사용을 권장하는 만큼 우리 시민명예기자단께서도 기사 작성 시 외래어 사용을 최대한 자제해 주셨으면 한다”라며 “모쪼록 이번 워크숍을 통해 시민명예기자 간에 더 많은 소통이 이뤄지기를 바란다”라고 말했다.

한편 김포시 시정소식지 ‘김포마루’는 매달 초 5만 5,000부 발행된다. 지면 뿐 아니라 인터넷과 모바일 앱으로도 볼 수 있다.
