17일 평택시의회에 따르면 팽성국제교류센터에서 열린 이날 기념식 행사에서는 (사)원심창의사기념사업회 주관으로 평택시의회 유승영 의장을 비롯한 이기형 산업건설위원장, 김영주․소남영 의원과 정장선 평택시장, 원심창기념사업회 임원 등 50여 명이 참석한 가운데, 표창수여, 원심창 의사 유품 기탁식 및 약사보고, 기념사, 유족 대표 인사,만세삼창 순으로 진행됐다고 밝혔다.

유승영 의장은 기념사에서“상해 육삼정 의거 제90주년 기념식이 자라나는 후세들에게 독립의 소중한 가치와 순국선열의 고귀한 희생을 일깨워주는 계기가 되기를 바란다”며“시의회에서도 원심창 의사의 헌신과 희생이 널리 알려지도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
