또한, “김포시는 50만 대도시에 공식적으로 진입하고 김포한강2 콤팩트시티 조성 등 김포시의 대규모 택지개발이 예정되어 있다”면서 “대규모 개발사업에 앞서, 서울5호선 김포 연장(김포한강선), GTX-D(김포~강남(팔당)), 인천2호선(김포~고양) 연장 등 광역교통의 문제해결이 우선적으로 필요하다”고 강조했다.
