[브레이크뉴스경기남부=여주 이귀선기자] 여주시(사)한국희망연맹중앙회(회장 윤진형)는11월 06일 마장면54-10 앞 희망연맹 사무실에서 취약계층을 위한 사랑의 김장 봉사를 진행했다.

이틀에 걸쳐 진행된 이번 봉사활동에는 여주시 중앙회 (사)한국희망연맹의 텃밭에서 무농약으로 직접 재배한 알타리무를 회원 50여 명이 이른 아침부터 참여해 첫째 날은 무를 뽑아 절였고, 둘째 날은 절인 무를 씻은 뒤 양념을 채워 넣는 작업을 진행했다.

이날 참여한 봉사자는 이충우여주시장,김선교국회의원,서광범도의원,경규명시의원,박두형시의원,이상숙시의원등 많은 사회단체장들이 함께했다.

윤진형 회장은 “휴일임에도 불구하고 어려운 이웃을 위한 나눔과 봉사활동에 동참해 주신 회원님들께 감사드리며, 김장 나눔을 통해 많은 분들이 앞으로 다가올 추위를 이겨내고 건강한 겨울을 나기를 바란다”고 말했다.

이충우 여주시장은 “이웃을 위한 봉사활동에 항상 앞장서 주시는 (사)한국희만연맹에 감사드린다”며, 시장당선 이후 “올해 참여한 김치봉사의 남다른 애착이 느껴진다.” “10여년째 이어온 김장봉사를 통해 보람도 느끼고 지원 또한 필요한 부분이다. 홀몸어르신 등 어려운 가구에 따뜻한 온기가 전해지길 바란다”고 말했다.
