[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 김정은기자] 용인특례시는(시장 이상일) 27일부터 동절기 코로나19 백신 추가접종 사전 예약을 시작한다고 밝혔다.

정부가 겨울철 재유행 대비 필요성과 2가 백신 연구 결과, 국외 동향 등을 고려해 2022~2023년 동절기 코로나19 추가접종 시행계획을 발표한 데 따른 것이다.

이번 추가 접종엔 초기에 유행한 코로나19 바이러스와 오미크론 변이 바이러스(BA.1)에 모두 대응할 수 있도록 개발된 모더나의 2가 백신(BA.1 mRNA)이 활용된다.

접종은 내달 11일부터 시작된다. 우선 접종 대상자는 면역저하자, 요양병원과 시설, 정신건강증진시설, 장애인‧노숙인 시설 등 감염취약시설 입원‧입소 종사자나 60세 이상 고령층 등 건강취약계층이다.

2순위 접종 대상자인 50대와 기저질환자, 보건의료인 등의 접종 권고 대상자와 3순위 인 18~48살 건강한 성인에 대한 접종 계획은 추후 발표할 계획이다.

단, 잔여 백신을 활용한 당일 접종은 2‧3순위의 기초접종(1‧2차 접종) 이상 완료자도 10월부터 가능하다.

접종은 마지막 접종일 또는 확진일 기준 4개월이 지난 이들에게 권고한다.

보건소 관계자는 “겨울철 코로나19 재유행에 대비할 수 있도록 건강취약계층을 중심으로 우선 접종을 할 수 있도록 많은 협조를 당부한다”고 말했다.
