[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 김정은기자] 경기도가 도서관을 방문하기 어려운 노인, 이주여성, 다문화·저소득 아동, 청소년, 장애인 등을 위해 ‘정보 취약계층 독서활동 지원사업’을 연말까지 운영한다.

정보 취약계층 독서활동 지원 사업은 경제적‧신체적 제약으로 독서 활동 참여가 어려운 사람들에게 책을 통한 심신 안정과 자기계발의 기회를 제공하는 사업이다.

사업은 한국독서지도연구회협동조합 소속 전문 강사들이 12월 말까지 노인복지관, 도서관, 다문화기관, 지역아동센터, 장애인기관, 특수학교 등 50개 기관(약 550명)에서 진행하고 있다. 프로그램은 ‘독서코칭 수업’과 ‘찾아가는 작가초청 독서특강’으로 구성됐다.

특강은 초청 작가의 작품 강연 및 작가와의 대화, 인형극 등 체험 위주로 구성됐다. 독서 코칭은 디지털 문해력, 의사소통 등을 높이는 독서 활동, 온·오프라인 토의·토론, 글쓰기, 책 만들기 등 다양한 감상 표현 활동으로 진행된다.

경기도 평생교육국장은 “독서를 통해 사회적 유대감과 문해력을 증진하고 정보격차를 해소하겠다”며 “앞으로도 정보 취약계층의 독서문화 활성화를 위한 경기도의 노력을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
