[브레이크뉴스경기남부=성남 이귀선기자] 성남시는 오는 5월 9일부터 11월 3일까지 특수학교인 성남혜은학교와 성은학교의 장애 학생들을 대상으로 환경교육을 한다.
장애 학생들의 환경교육에 관한 학습권을 보장하기 위해 지난해 시범운영에 이어 시행하는 사업이다.
전문 강사(총 25명)를 성남혜은학교와 성은학교에 파견해 학급 단위(학급당 5~7명)로 학교 숲 생태체험, 목공수업 등을 한다.
수업 인원은 초·중·고 42학급에 235명이다.
교육 프로그램은 ‘작지만 소중한 풀꽃’, ‘학교 숲 운동회’, ‘아름다운 자연의 색’, ‘우리 반 나무 만들기’, ‘스스로 목공 교실’, ‘함께하는 목공 교실’ 등이다.
수업 횟수는 학급당 2~4회다.
생태적 감수성과 성취감을 높이고, 환경문제에 관한 인식 확산에 주력한다.
성남시 환경정책과장은 “지난해 10월 이 사업을 시범 도입해 장애학생과 교사, 학부모의 호응을 얻었다”면서 “환경교육을 점차 일반 학교의 특수학급으로 확대해 나갈 것”이라고 말했다.
